Lodike-David

In Loving Memory

Lodike, David EF

passed away peacefully February 26, 2023 with his family at his side. Dear husband of Kelly Jager; dear father of Chelsea Fischer-Lodike, Gretchen Evans, Annaliese Fischer-Lodike and Christian (Carolyn) Fischer-Lodike; dear stepfather to Evan Jager and Lydia Jager; dear grandfather and special papa to Max and Liam Evans and Nora and Rya Fischer-Lodike; dear brother to Laura (Jeffery) Olson and Lisa Sirles; dear son-in-law of Jim and Karen Evans; dear brother-in-law of Jim and Jei Evans; dear uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

David had a distinguished career in the financial services industry predominantly focused in the area of regulatory compliance. He spent over 20 years with A.G. Edwards and then over 10 years with Edward Jones in St. Louis. In addition, he contributed significantly to many industry associations, committees and roundtables and was a frequent panelist at related conferences and events. He was always willing to share his extensive industry knowledge with others and enjoyed a broad network of colleagues and friends.

David was a lifelong learner. He graduated with his Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2019 and soon thereafter became a member of the Missouri Bar Association.

David’s greatest joy in life was always his home life and family. He was truly a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed many family vacations, was happy to have any reason to host a get-together with family and friends and was always ready to help with anything that needed a repair.

David was loved and respected by so many and will be missed beyond words.

  1. David was a truly wonderful human being who took time out to teach me about our industry and then supported me throughout various stages of my career. He encouraged all those he met to be who they are and to allow their true selves to shine brightly – that’s the stuff of a powerful legacy. My deepest sympathies to Kelly and his entire family.

  5. I am grateful for having known David and feel truly lucky he was one of my first friends and colleagues as I started my new endeavor at a new company. David was so generous with his time and went above and beyond to support me. I will fondly remember our conversations and our debates, but especially will remember his happiness and joy when he talked about Kelly and their family. Rest in peace my friend – you have impacted so many of us and won’t be forgotten. Much love to Kelly and all who cherish you.

  7. David was a great mentor to me while I worked for him at AG Edwards. I was lucky he always had an open door policy to our unit and saw the benefit of knowledge transfer. I will remember him always.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. May almighty God bless us with his peace and strength, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
