Frances was a charter member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, which later became St. Mark Catholic Church, Affton, Missouri, where she was an active participant in many church activities over a 60-year span. Frances and Bud were married in 1948, three years after he was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes region in eastern Belgium, and remained married until his untimely death in 1987. They vacationed each year, for 30 years, at Lake of the Ozarks, boating, skiing, and fishing with family and friends. After Bud’s retirement, they enjoyed their second home at the Lake along with other travels and cruises. Frances continued to visit the Lake for many years after Bud’s death, enjoying boating, fishing, along with traveling and playing cards with long-time neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John R. “Bud” Kohlmann, Jr.; and parents, Jacob Weissler and Josephine (Tunze) Weissler.
