  1. Jack will be sadly missed. He was a good relative, friend, and a great man. I remember the time he took his day off from A&P Grocery to put brakes on my brother’s car so I would have something to drive, while I was on leave from Vietnam. That was the kind of guy he was, always helping, easy going. Our sympathies and prayers are with Pat and the family. We know he will be greatly missed, but now he is pain free and at peace. Sincerely, Dave and Rita Powers

  3. I worked with Jack for two years at the Post several years ago. I have never met a kinder, more decent human being. Jack would drop what he was doing to help you out, and few people were as happy to help out a friend as he was. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. He talked about Pat, Jimmy, and Kathy nonstop, and I can only hope I am half as good a dad and husband as Jack was. Even though I had not seen him in over 20 years, I still think about him all the time. And he had the best laugh of anyone you will ever meet! He will be missed, but never forgotten. I am a better person for having known him.
