  1. Fred was a dear friend of mine. I met him in 2003 when I transferred into the Coyle Post Office. We served as stewards together at Coyle. I have fond memories of working with Fred, he was funny and a joy to be around. We became friends, spent a lot of time fishing for smallies. We also enjoyed going to Blues games together. there were so many times he cracked me up when we were together. Chest bumps at the office when we won grievances, his hatred of cold, bicycling through Minneapolis at National Convention, mishaps in our fishing trips, him calling at 10pm because he was lost on some dirt road because he was trying to get to some river to fish and the jokes we would play with each other and the other carriers at the office, being his u-man. Another thing I shared with him was the importance of our children and the hopes and dreams for them. I will miss him.
