Patricia Lee Jones-Evering, 84, of Arnold, MO died January 2, 2021 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, from complications related to COVID-19.  She was born June 28, 1936 in Grand Tower, IL to the late Gracel (Trammel) and Roy Pillow.  She had a great sense of humor and was generous, despite her meager resources.  Pat was a retired Pharmacy Assistant for Kmart and cashier for Schnucks.  She was also a pastor’s wife for many years, and was active after his death, playing piano at many churches throughout St. Louis.  She was a spirit-filled, praying woman of God.

 

She is survived by three daughters: Sandy Siegel, Carolyn Alvarez and Dorinda (Stephen) Marino; six sons: Rick (Ruth Ann) Malone, James Thomas (Sherry) Jones, Jonathan Jones, Mark (Cherie) Jones, Philip Jones and Michael (Stacey) Evering, II; 21 grandchildren: Christopher Malone, Amber Levora, Christine Rothrock Johnston, Melissa Steffan, Alison Korns, Winston Alvarez, Tommy Jones, Connor Jones, Carson Jones, Kaitlin Jones, Blake Jones, Ross Taylor, Nathaniel Jones, Preston Jones, Benjamin Evering, Micah Evering, Grace Evering, Paul Evering, Faith Evering, Hope Evering and Jonah Evering; eight great grandchildren: Ethan Levora, Brendan Levora, Fenris Alvarez, Salem Alvarez, Brennan Necker, Brock Steffan, Kobe King and Landon Brown; two sisters: Jane Marchesi and Sarah (Mitch) Hathaway; and six brothers Paul (Linda) Pillow, Steve (Cindy) Pillow, James (Leeanne) Pillow, Patrick Pillow, Tim Pillow and Joe (Tina) Pillow.

 

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. James T. Jones; two sisters: Delores Skipper and Deborah Pillow; two brothers: Mark Pillow and Ronald Pillow.

 

Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 7, from 4-8 pm, at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd, Affton.  The service is Friday, Jan. 8th at 10 am at Twin Rivers Church, 10575 Tesson Ferry Rd, Affton.  Burial is at Oak Hill Cemetery, 10301 Big Bend Rd, Kirkwood.  Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to Every Child’s Hope (everychildshope.org/donate).

  5. Thank you, Grandma, for showing me a true part of myself, and making me reach my goals I always wanted to reach. She taught me how to read at 3, She cares about me and my family and I would be proud to see my family again after I get out of Foster Care.
