In Loving Memory

Jedlicka, Alice Marie

Jedlicka, Alice Marie

(nee Mueller) Baptized into Christ’s Resurrection on October 14, 2015.

A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and godmother, Alice enhanced the lives of many for 88 years.  Educated through Little Flower School, Xavier High School for Girls and St. Louis University.  She married Joseph Frank Jedlicka, Jr., in 1950. At every gathering, Alice was the “life of the party” at the piano, while her husband was the chef and ready bartender, as well as her biggest fan.  After her husband’s death in 1981, she dedicated her time to family, charities and putting smiles on  everyone she met.  Alice worked twenty years for Fr. Paul Sheridan SJ at Boys Hope Girls Hope, and devoted herself to many other charitable endeavors.

Alice treasured many friends who also enjoyed her great sense of  humor and innate kindness. Despite living her recent years in declining health, she met every stage with faith, courage, grace and that persistent sense of humor. The family extends heart-felt thanks to the  caring Sisters and staff at Mother of Good Counsel Home, who truly do God’s work on earth.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jedlicka Jr. and her brother Thomas Mueller, Jr., as well as her parents Thomas Mueller Sr. and Marie (Cleary) Mueller.  Dear  sister to Joseph (Nancy) Mueller and sister-in-law Terese Mueller (nee Novak).  Devoted mother to Mimi (Chuck) McDonald; Elizabeth (Mark) Springer; Therese (Keith) Parker; Joseph  (Melissa) Jedlicka III; and Frank  (Danielle) Jedlicka.  Adoring grandmother, called “GoGo” to Tom (Lisa); Brian; John; Joseph IV; Allison,  Logan; Reese; and great grand- mother to Chloe and Maria.

Services: Visitation Friday, October 23 from 3:30-5:30 pm at Little Flower Church, (1275 Boland Place, Richmond Heights). Funeral Mass of the Resurrection at 5:30 pm. Celebration of her life at the School Hall at 6:30. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please spread her cheer by donating to BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE; MOTHER OF GOOD COUNSEL HOME; or ST. LOUIS U. HIGH SCHOOL. Her spirit will remain with us until we join her again in God’s loving kingdom.
