Like many, I was deeply saddened to hear about Nicole’s passing. I went through school with Nicole. She was always such a bright spirit to me; a person who makes others feel validated. I specifically remember sophomore year we had art class together. I looked forward to that class everyday. She always told great stories and never failed to brighten my day. I never told her but I was struggling significantly with my mental health around this time but I always looked to art class with Nicole. If I could make it to art class I knew she would brighten my day. It was enough to get me out of bed. I regret not having the opportunity to tell her, but Nicole touched so many lives. I’m grateful to have known her. I will pray for the family and continue to think about her and those memories we shared. May she Rest In Peace.
