Hohnstrater, Doris M. Age 89, Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Beloved husband of the late
Charles Hohnstrater for 63 years; dear mother of Kurt (Regina) and Chris (Laura) Hohnstrater;
loving grandmother of Kaitlin, Sarah, Paige (Eric), and Sean. Blessed by the care she received
at Sunrise of Des Peres. Doris graduated from Roosevelt High School and spent her career as
a secretary at Ameren UE. After retiring, she enjoyed Sanibel Island and her ladies’ golf league.
She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, faith and wonderful cooking.
Services: Doris will be laid to rest on Monday, February 1, during a private ceremony at
Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Procession from Kutis South County Chapel, 5255
Lemay Ferry Rd. will begin at 8:30.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kindred Hospice, 2025 Craigshire Rd, Suite 410, St. Louis,
63146 would be appreciated.
