  3. I will remember my Great- Aunt Joan for her kindness, hospitality, and love of family. She and Aunt Diane’s celebrations are the glue that holds the family together. Aunt Joan always welcomed anyone from the Herzog clan with open arms and a good meal. I fondly remember childhood holidays- rolling down the hill with cousins and rolling out the dough for the homemade pies for Thanksgiving. (That’s going way back down memory lane). I am thankful for all the times we had together, and that she never missed a big milestone in my life. I am particularly grateful that she attended my baby shower, it was a special display of love and meant a lot to me. Aunt Joan was always there for anyone who needed her and she will be deeply missed by us all.
