  3. So sorry for our whole family. We lost a very very special lady. She was a very religious and caring lady. She had many friends and loved everyone. She was my favorite aunt and also my special friend. I will really miss our trips to Red Lobster (she LOVED crab legs). I know God was waiting for her at the gate.

I met Laverne on an ACTS retreat and loved her immediately. She’s one of those people that you just want to be around. She was a true lady who always had a sparkle in her eyes and warmth in her smile . Our prayers are with all of you. What a wonderful guardian angel to have looking over all of you!

  15. Ron, Pat and family, Your parents were both God honoring souls. What a legacy they left behind. I can still smell the campfire smoke and your dad playing harmonica and all of us singing songs. Not once did they miss mass when we were camping. That spoke volumes to me. Your mom was such a smiley bug. I don’t remember a time that she didn’t exude kindness and love. How blessed you were to have such a mom. She is now in the realm of heaven with the author of her life. Just know you are in our thoughts and prayers and be at peace, knowing she is. Love Tony and Denise Becker Wallach.

  19. My husband, Mark, and I met LaVerne during our Sunday visits to Panera. (We are the couple that have remained very close with Ed & Shirley.) We just heard about her passing, and wanted to share our sorrow with you regarding her loss. For a few years, every weekend we would take our Doberman, Maggie, to Panera to socialize her, and LaVerne was one of the first to pet her and make her feel loved. And every week she greeted Maggie with a cheery “good to see you, Gracie!” Then quickly corrected herself noting “she just looks like a Gracie.” Such a fond memory we will always have. We are so glad that LaVerne no longer suffers and is now home and at peace. Condolences and hugs to all who loved her.
