Beloved wife of the late David G. Gau; preceded in death by her  parents, Ben and Maude (nee Acey) Gray; dearest mother of 4, Denise (Joe) Patton, Danette (Clyde) Weems, David (Sheri) Gau and Douglas (Sandy) Gau; loving grandmother of 8, Katie, Josh and Kyle Patton, Skye Corp, Joe and Becky Patton, Austin,  Samantha and Braden Gau; dear great-grandmother of 4, Nicole, Tyler, Hunter and Skylar; dear sister of 6, Helen Saake, Mildred (Cotton) Schaeffer, Mary (Jim) Senseney, Erna Lee (Robert) Lint, Joyce (Tom) Wilkinson, Norman (Jan) Gray and the late Clarence “Pete” Gray, Mabel Zimmerman, Bobby “B.J.” Gray and William “Bill” Gray; our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, Godmother and friend to many.

Doris was a volunteer at St. Francis of Assisi and for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, as well as a room mother.  She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her children and family.

Services:   Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Sat., Nov. 5, 9:30 a.m. to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (4556 Telegraph Road) for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Donations to American Heart Association appreciated. Visitation Friday, 3-8 p.m.
