Georgia Elizabeth Gabris (1927 – 2020)

Georgia Gabris, beloved wife of Jerome Gabris (deceased), and loving mother of Gerald and Paul Gabris, returned to her spiritual home on November 17th, 2020. She is survived in life by her son Gerald (Jerry) and his wife Kathryn, and son Paul and his wife Pamela. She is survived by her sisters Eloise Mrosek and Shirley Bornecque, and brother Paul Horn. Her brother Joseph Horn preceded her in death. She is also survived by several grandchildren, Michelle Gabris, Charles Winkler, Lisa Gabris, Nicholas Gabris, and Margaret Pickering. And great grand children, Maximus Petreikis, Hailey Gabris, and Marcus Petreikis.

Georgia Gabris loved being by and with people and had a lengthy career with several major department stores where she excelled in women’s fashion. She enjoyed travel, dressing in style, going to the beach, warm sunny weather, visiting with neighbors, and family picnics. Family was very important to her and she took great pride and interest in her grand children and great grandchildren who were all fascinated by her story telling and fun loving antics. She was a faithful wife to Jerome Gabris to whom she provided extraordinary home care during the last days of his life. Georgia Gabris was loved by her family and will be greatly missed, she was unique and one of a kind. May God bless her and may she rest in peace.

A small family only service will be held for Georgia Gabris at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, on a date yet to be determined. A memorial mass will be held in her honor at a later date when it is deemed safe to do so. Please send no flowers. The family prefers that anyone wishing to celebrate the life of Georgia Gabris, to make a donation to their favorite charity in her name.
