  5. Dear Karen,

We are sad for your loss. Dale was a fantastic engineer that taught me one heck of a lot. We also enjoyed the parties with Dale at your home, I’ll remember him for his smile and way of looking at life.

  7. Karen,

I’m an old McDonnell Douglas colleague of Dale’s, working under Bob Goebel. I greatly enjoyed working with him. Dale was a certainly a character.

I still chuckle about how Dale told me one Tuesday, “Hey, I think I’m going to retire on Friday.” He didn’t tell Rich Peer, whom we were then reporting to, until Friday morning. Then, when he went to HR to sign the paperwork on Friday afternoon, he decided to wait a few more weeks because it would pay a little better.

I remember meeting you at least once, as Dale’s retirement gathering. I’m so sorry for your loss.
