Lance Wayne Ervin Junior “Scrappy” , “LJ”
December 12, 1996 – March 16, 2023
Beloved first son of Lance Wayne Ervin Senior and Andrea Ervin. Loving and devoted brother of Lauren Ervin Noll, Seth Ervin, Janie Ervin, Elizabeth Ervin, and Gabrielle Ervin. Cherished brother-in-law of Tyler Noll. Adored cousin, nephew, grandson, teammate, and friend to many. Loved, admired, and missed beyond words by all.
Lance was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 12, 1996. He spent his childhood years dedicating every second he could to spending time with his family, friends and playing any and every sport he possibly could. Whether it was football, basketball, baseball, soccer, or even karate, Lance always put his whole heart into the game. After eighth grade graduation and confirmation from Saint Joseph School, Lance attended St. Pius X High School where he continued to play both basketball and football. Everything Lance did in his life he did with passion, dedication, and determination. This was especially true when it came to sports, no one played with as much heart as Lance Ervin. After high school graduation, Lance attended Missouri State University where he joined the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter and received his associate’s degree.
Not only was Lance great at school and sports, but he was also a hard-worker and always way ahead of all the trends. When it came to the best music and the best style, you knew to go to Lance. He loved that and so did everyone else. Lance loved to travel, he got to see and live in a lot of different places, but he always cherished home.
Lance has always had the most loving, caring, kind-hearted, and genuine soul. Not a day went by that he didn’t show gratitude for his family, his friends, and the life that he lived. His smile lit up every room he entered, and his laugh and positive energy was infectious. Nothing meant more to Lance than his family, and nothing meant more to Lance’s family than him.

I was blessed to get to grow up along side little lance. If I could think words to describe him growing up it would be respectful with a side of “try me” lol he knew what he could get away with but was also kind and respectful of peoples feelings. Most of my time with lance I was “babysitting” which was mostly hanging with his sisters while he and Sethers played video games in their room. He always helped with the kids and did what he was asked (from me at-least) the first time and hardly any eye rolls lol I regret not knowing much of the older lance and hope he is now at peace. You should be here my dude, please send comforting signs to your fam.

It seems so unreal to me. I followed you guys thru Facebook and although i’m far away, you are always thought of and i have great memories of all of you.
