Eckmayer, Mildred Ann (nee Kalil); born December 25, 1920 -September 29, 2016.

Devoted and cherished mother of Ronnie Eckmayer and Mary Ann (Harry) Farrar; loving daughter of the late Abraham and Mary (nee Reask) Kalil; beloved sister of the late Emily (Clarence) Ebert; devoted aunt and Godmother of Reverend Mark S. Ebert, Rick (Reba) Ebert, Kris (Tom) Scharfenberger and the late Kurt Ebert and Kathy (Mike) Nelms; great-aunt and Godmother to Erica Ann Ebert, great-aunt to Nick, Emmy, Adam, Sam and Sophie; great-great-aunt to Shane and Jimmy; beloved and special friend to many.

In 1962 Millie went to work at City Hospital for the next 22 years as the beautiful and bubbly receptionist at the front desk until her retirement in 1983. After retirement she worked at the St. Elizabeth Adult Day Care Center. All of our lives are richer for having had her with us for as long as we have, but it still was too short. She would want us to smile whenever we think of her. She was a treasured gift to us all.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Thursday, October 6 at 10 a.m. to St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. with prayer of incense service at 7 p.m.
