Beloved husband of the late Marie H. Eckert (nee Seyferth); loving father of Verna (the late Scott) Noel and Jeff (Janet) Eckert; adoring grandfather of Jason (Kim ) Hillenbrand, Aaron (Brandi) Noel, Daniel (Leslie) Noel, Laura (Cory) Kiesling, Neal and John Eckert; cherished great grandfather of 7; dear brother of Fred and the late Leroy, Walter and Mary Ellen. Our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend to many. Vernon loved all sports but especially golf and he enjoyed watching old western movies.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Wednesday, October 28 from 10:00 am. until funeral service time at 12:30 pm. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Salvation Army appreciated.

  1. So sorry to learn about Vern. I remember meeting him in the late 70’s and working with him at Lustour Corp. But remember most of all, playing on his softball teams. I kept getting older and the team seemed to get younger each year. He loved sports and exhibited great athletic skills. My condolences to the family and best wishes.

  3. Vernon was a very good man to me. Marie was a sweetheart as well. I was friends with Jeffrey and Janet for a million years. They were both as good of friends as anyone could have and I miss them both. I wish for a call from one of them soon.
