In Loving Memory

Douglas, Sr., Michael C.

Douglas, Sr., Michael C., passed away on November 19, 2022.

Beloved husband of Ann Douglas (nee Beisel); loving father of Ashley (Justin) Reinhardt and Michael (Samantha) Douglas, Jr; cherished grandpa of Alivia, Ethan, Amelia, Colton, Lillian and Adalynn; dear brother of Mark (Laurie) Douglas and Dona Douglas; dear son of the late Donald (Karen survives) and Ellen Douglas; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many seen as family.

Our loved one
Our mentor
Our idol
Our friend
Our Mr. Fixit
And
Our comedian

Our family lost a large piece of the foundation that holds us together. We are going to miss this man more than words could say. Let his life be a reminder to us all. He was kind hearted with great hugs. He said “I love you” often. He stayed busy with his many hobbies. He cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. He was so smart and never turned down the opportunity to help someone. Our goal is to be an amazing person like he had shown us how to be.

I know a lot of people will say that their loved one would do anything for anyone. With him it was different. He could fix literally anything so a LOT of people needed him. We were happy to share our rock because helping because everyone made him happy.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Saturday, November 26, 9:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Service concludes at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kids Chance, Backstoppers and Mission Gate.

  13. I’ve always looked up to Uncle Mike as the person who could put anything back together. When we first started to learn to work on cars, we would come over and he would help give me tips and trouble shoot what was wrong. I’ve learned so much from him and aspire to be like him in so many ways!

  15. I first met Mike in 1972 on the playground at Fenton elementary school. Right away we went to the swings to see who could swing higher. We became instant friends that day. Mike was a kind and generous soul, Always good to everybody. Sadly we didn’t see each other much after high school but when we did see each other we were always glad to catch up. To Mike’s family I am sorry for your great loss and will keep you in my prayers. Let us be so thankful for having Mike in our lives,I know I am.

  17. Dearest Mike – Your work is done here.
Always the servant, you’ve done your work so well.
A wife and family who love and honor you and will build on all that you’ve lived and shared to prepare them to continue to find their way.
So many friends and so many stories. Many will be shared for all the years ahead when friends and family are gathered. Just as you likely hoped and prayed.
Your loving wife, your loving children, your brother, sister, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in law, brothers in law, extended family and their beautiful families as well as the large community of your friends will preserve your legacy and honor you.
Your work is done here Mike – you did it well!

    Love,
