Donnelly, Ruth (nee Windler)

Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Saturday, November 19, 2022. She died peacefully at the age of 97 at home with family by her side. Dear daughter of the late Clara & Albert Windler; loving wife of the late Clement P. Donnelly; Mom of S Patricia CSJ, Mary (late Steve Mann), Sue, Ann, Myles (Cathy), Mark (Maureen), Mike, Tom (Julie). Nana to Tim (Jen Mann), Susie (Sam Irons), Ryan, Kate (Bobby Sandlin), Kevin (Lily Benda), Myles (Anne), Emily, Trevor, Claire, Molly, Elizabeth & Abigail and Big Nana to Kasidi, Steven, Susan, Connor, Noah, Charlotte & Baby Girl Sandlin. Finally reunited with her sister and brothers, Pat (Dutch Rotermund), Albert (Lorraine) Windler, Edward (Pat) Windler & Lee (Adele) Windler. Dear sister in law to the late William (Kay) Donnelly, John (the late Jean) Donnelly & Ann (Ned) Massey. Ruth was a wonderful aunt, neighbor, friend to many, she had a great devotion to her family & faith. She prayed daily and had a deep devotion to the Mother of Perpetual Help. Ruth was the President of the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Mothers Guild, Prayer Partner with the Sisters of St. Joseph and a member of the Daily World Missionaries. Donations can be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.

Services: Visitation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 4200 Delor St. Louis, MO 63116 on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 10:00 am until Funeral Mass time at 11:00 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery

She was the matriarch of an incredible family who, despite being a Hoosier and a San Francisco Giants fan, welcomed me into their family many years ago. I am grateful to be an honorary Donnelly. Heaven certainly gained another angel. RIP, Ruth. You will be missed.
