Ivan Dizdar, loving husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, March 7­th, 2023 at the age of 62. He was born in Banja-Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina on November 22, 1960 to Stjepan and Andja (Blazan) Dizdar. He attended medical college before immigrating to the United States with his wife Kadina on his birthday in 1995, settling down in Saint Louis, Missouri. He worked for Saint Anthony’s Hospital for many years as a nurse and together with his wife, raised two sons. Ivan enjoyed curing meats to share with his friends and family, winemaking, and reading internet articles with his cat, Princess. He was intelligent and resourceful, regularly renovating his home and repairing mechanical equipment. Known as an active member of his community, he loved inviting friends and family over for coffee and jokes. He was also compassionate, supporting his sons in their schoolwork, hobbies, and personal lives.

Ivan is survived by his wife Kadina Nasic, his sons Brennan and Benjamin, his siblings Franjo and Terezija, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Stjepan and Andja, and his dear brother Anto Dizdar.

A wake will be held on Sunday, March 12 at Kutis Funeral Home (10151 Gravois Rd, Saint Louis, MO) from 4-8PM. The funeral will be held the next morning at 11 AM; followed by burial at  Park Lawn Cemetery (1800 Lemay Ferry Rd) at 12 Noon
