Demos

In Loving Memory

Demos, Angela R. (nee Beia)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Angela Regina (Beia) Demos announces that she received her angel wings the morning of March 19, 2020. Angie is survived by her loving husband Gus Demos, two daughters, Stephanie (Colin) McPherron and Elizabeth (Gordon) Reel; granddaughters Ellie, Olivia and Caroline Reel; Delaney, Cecelia and Emily McPherron and Meagan (Presley) Becker; and great-granddaughter Arya Becker.

Angie was born on “The Hill” on January 16, 1940 to loving parents Louis and Rose (Berra) Beia, and precious older sister Barbara (Beia) Foy, who all preceded her in death.

Angie went to St. Ambrose Elementary School, and then on to Rosati Kain High School where she made many life-long friends. After high school she went on to work as a secretary, most notably for the St. Louis Blues front office beginning with their inaugural franchise year. It was during this time she met a dashing young man, Gus Demos. Angie was not immediately swept off her feet so she decided to introduce herself as self “Judy,” and admitted to working for the Blues. When the eligible bachelor called the Blues office, he learned her true identity. And as one of Gus’ friends best described it, when he spray painted a wall, “Gus loves Hockey Judy.” Gus and Angie married on February 10, 1973 and build an amazing family including their two daughters Steph and Liz.

Angie was best known for her clever and quick wit, her kindness, generosity and sass, her ability to make others laugh and her amazing cooking abilities. She was a beloved wife, mother, Yia Yia, sister, sister-in law, koumbara, aunt and dear friend to many.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, from 3 until 7 pm at Kutis Funeral Home – 10151 Gravois Road. 63123. The funeral mass and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
