  1. It was with a very HEAVY heart that the Sparks, Petty, & Shega families learned of the unexpected fall and passing of our very dear Step-Sister, & Aunt, Aunt Betty. It is with AWE that for the very 1st time, I see with this posting, that my Mom, “Penny” Sparks and Aunt Betty shared the EXACT same middle name! How’s that for “true Karma”, their “Sisterhood was meant to be”! We will ALL treasure the wonderful childhood and adulthood memories that we have enjoyed, with Betty as our Step-Sister & Aunt, and we have scrapbooks of her early years with Penny, and with us as “raucous” kids at Christmas-time playing with her son, Greg & her daughter Cindy, in Grandma Marie’s basement. She was one of the sweetest & most descent human being born on this planet, and she will be greatly missed

  3. So sorry to hear of cousin Betty’s passing. Have many happy memories. One that stands out is Betty, Sue and I tooling around Missouri Botanical Garden in our battery powered wheelchairs.

  11. Betty was a precious cousin, just like an angel. She was always so sweet and never seemed to be flustered, always caring more about others than herself. She truly exemplified Christian virtues. Furthermore she was just plain fun to be with. May
she rest in the peace and love of Jesus!
