In Loving Memory

Carriker, William David

William David Carriker

Born March 2, 1945 and entered into rest on Friday, January 15, 1016 at the age of 70.

Dear son of the late Louis H. and Jewell A. Carriker (nee: Williams). Dear brother of Charles R. Carriker, Michael W. Carriker, A. Michelle Rodgers and the late Lynne R. Tyas. He was a brother, brother in law, uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle.

Bill lived in St. Louis all of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors, going to the park, eating at the Bread Company, chocolate and music.

One of his hobbies was writing songs. He was known for his harmonica playing and had a collection of about 300. At one time his nickname was “Harmonica” Bill and he always carried one in his pocket.

He also loved little children and animals. Bill resided at Delmar Gardens Meramec Valley for the past 3 years. His favorite activities were watching movies and listening to live entertainment. He was a big Elvis fan and loved Johnny Cash.

The highlight of his life was when his niece, Lisa Foster, took him to Memphis, Tennessee in 2013.

He got to visit Graceland and play his harmonica on the stage of the Grand Ole’ Opry in Nashville. Bill was a sweet, tender hearted gentle soul who will be greatly missed—especially by his sister Michelle.

Bill never like to say good-bye. Instead, he would rather say ”See ya”. So, See ya, Bill. See ya in heaven.

Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, Sun., 5-9pm, Funeral Mon., 1:30 pm. Interment St. Marcus Cemetery.
