Beloved husband of Sharon Quigley Carpenter for 51 years; loving father of Margaret “Maggie” (Jeff) Masek, John (Candice) Carpenter and Bridget (Timothy) Forbes; cherished grandfather of Addison and David Masek, Quinn, Brady and Robert Declan Carpenter, Alyssa, Taylor, Kelly and Brendan Forbes; dear brother-in-law of Veronica “Ronnie” (the late Rudy) Brynac, R. Terrance “Terry” (Kathleen) Quigley and Maureen (the late Robert “Bobby”) Ragsdale; our dearest uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Friday, October 5 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Gabriel The Archangel for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Division of Geriatric Medicine at St. Louis University Hospital or Whitehouse Retreat appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 3-8 p.m.
