Patrick “Pat” Brian Bumb, 70, died at home with his children in Fenton, Missouri on October 20, 2020. He was born April 8, 1950, in Jennings, Missouri, son of Howard and Genevieve (nee Foley) Porter. In 1957 Patrick was adopted by Howard and Geraldine (nee Brown) Bumb and moved to Black Jack, Missouri.
Patrick graduated from Hazelwood Central High School, Class of 1968. Following graduation, he served in the US Navy until 1972. After leaving the Navy, Patrick became a Union Painter and married Kathleen Francesconi on August 8, 1975. Before her death in 2017 they celebrated forty-two years of marriage. Patrick reenlisted in the Navy in 1979 and served out of both Norfolk and Jacksonville. He returned to a career in painting after ending his military service. Pat loved all music, especially Elvis, and spent most of his time with his family and doing projects for those he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (FrancesconI) Bumb, and his brother James (Patricia) Porter. He is survived by his children, Andrew and Jennifer; his siblings, Gail, Dennis, Timothy, Lynn, Colleen, Terry and Brian. He was a great father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, coworker, shipmate, and friend to many.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00pm at Kutis South County Chapel at 5255 Lemay Ferry Road 63129. Interment with honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the St. Louis Peregrine Society 2343 Hampton Avenue 63139.
