In Loving Memory

Brown, Foster Edward “Ed”-

It is with great sadness that the family of Foster Edward Brown announces his passing on Friday June 17, 2022 at the age of 81. He was born on December 1, 1940 in Huntsville, MO. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Ed retired in 2001 after a long career with Mallinckrodt Chemical Company.

He was a dedicated coach for little league softball and CYC soccer who also devoted many years to the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid gardener who was a menace to many tomato stealing squirrels.

Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley (nee Schaefer), his son Douglass “Ted” (Carol Badstebner); and his daughter-in-law, Cindy Brown. He will be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren; Megan, Heather, Keller and Koen; his sister, Marcia Berberich and brother-in-law of Douglas Schaefer; nieces, nephews and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbi Rapoff; his  son Foster James “Jamie” Brown; and his brother-in-law, Karl Berberich.

Services: Arrangements were handled by Kutis Affton Chapel. A private family service will be held.

  1. Ed was a wonderful brother-in-law . he encouraged me to study at School and Also to try out for Football as a freshman in High School even though I had never been a football guy… baseball was my Sport as a child so when I tried out for Quarterback my Dad was stunned and even more stunned when I gained the starting job . I cant thank him enough for all the encouragement and education he offered me growing up

  3. Ed was the best of brothers. He was asways there for me from childhood on. He was always into education and encouraged youngsters to succeed.
Although we lived at great distances from one another in our adult lives, he was always in my heart and always my brother,❤️
