Brambilla

In Loving Memory

Brambilla, Marie

Born January 25, 1925, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, July 26, 2020.  Beloved Aunt to Jim Loewenstein (Kim), John Loewenstein (Linda), Jeanne Feger (Randy).  Loving great aunt to Aly Loewenstein, Joe Loewenstein, Daniel Loewenstein, Marisa Loewenstein, Lyndsey Germany (Brent), Kim Zacharko (Justin), Mary Feger, and Mitchell Feger.  Great -Great Aunt to Kenzie Carlson, Jaxon & Avery Zacharko and Ben & Grayson Germany.  Preceded in death by her cherished parents, Louis & Minnie Brambilla and her dear sister Theresa Loewenstein (Paul).

Marie was the first born to Italian immigrant parents.  After attending Catholic school, she left high school at the age 14 to earn money to send her younger sister, Theresa, to Catholic school.  Marie never married.  She was raised in St. Louis on The Hill and lived at home with her parents, taking care of them each until they passed away.  She continued to live in her childhood home until the age of 75, when she moved to be closer to her sister.

Marie worked for Container Corporation of America for 40+ years.  She also started a part time job at Styx Baer & Fuller, now Dillards, in 1958 to help pay for her first car and continued working there until the early 90’s.

Marie loved travel, shopping, and anything social.  She was blessed to take 5 trips to Italy to see the relatives her parents left behind and enjoyed many vacations with friends and family.

Marie was deeply religious in her Catholic faith, kind hearted, generous, funny and a well-dressed person who took great pride in being Italian.  If it was Italian, she loved it!   She enjoyed her many friends and was the epitome of unconditional love.  She was greatly loved by her sister’s children and their children; she was considered more than an aunt, she was truly a second mother and she will be greatly missed.

Holy Mass Wednesday, July 29 10:00 am Cure of Ars Church. No public visitation.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery, family only. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities of Saint Louis.
