In Loving Memory

Bittmann, Joseph Jr.

Joseph Bittmann Jr. was born on March 31, 1933 in BakonyKoppany, Hungary and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the age of 89. Joe was the beloved husband of Klaudia Bittmann (nee Eckert); loving father of Laura (Timothy) Nosser and Diana Bittmann; loving grandfather of Paige Nosser and a wonderful brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.

Joe immigrated to the United States in 1956 and sought out the American dream. Trained as a meat cutter, he worked for serveral local retailers, but his dream was to have his own business. He eventually became owner of Lindy’s Meats, serving many customers his hand-crafted sausages. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his garden, cheering on his favorite St. Louis sports teams, and occasionally watching his granddaughter play soccer, which was a great passion they shared.

SERVCIES: A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, at St. Mary of Victories Catholic Church, 744 South 3rd St., St louis, MO., 63102. Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
