Besserman, Viola “Vi” (nee McGlaughlin), Resting in the Arms of The Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald L. Besserman; dearest mother of Wayne (Debbie) Shoemaker, Linda Geren, Michael (Teresa) Shoemaker, Richard (Elizabeth) Shoemaker and Lori Jane (Rev. Daniel) Upchurch; loving grandmother of Timothy, Jeffrey, Rebecca, Angela, Craig, Ronald, Bobby, Stephen and Johnny; dear great-grandmother and great-great grandmother; dear sister of Merle Garner, Brenda McClain, Marla Douglas and Melvin McGlaughlin; preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Mary McGlaughlin, her brother Rev. Douglas McGlaughlin and baby Billy; dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Services: Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Monday, February 6, at 9:00 am. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Memorials to International Mission Board, appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

  3. I was sorry to hear about Vi. She was a bright spot at the CB and I loved her. I will miss seeing her here on earth but I know I will see her again and we will talk, talk, talk. My sympathy and prayers go out to you kids and grandkids, some I know. You’re mom was a great woman who was friends with everyone. I pray knowing she is with Jesus will comfort you.
