Belmar, Frieda Mae

Belmar, Frieda Mae (nee Darden) age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 14, 2020. She was born on August 25, 1930. Taking care of her family was her mission in life and she did it with grace and love. Frieda’s faith sustained her throughout her life; she trusted all in Jesus Christ her Savior.

Frieda was preceded in death by her husband James Albert Belmar, her parents, siblings, many family members and friends.

Loving mother to James A. Belmar (Theresa), Ann M. Avery (John) and Katherine K. Gulley (Christopher); beloved grandmother to Jay (Tina), Christina (Mitch), Ryan (Shauna), Jennifer (Aaron), Kyle, Lauren, Julie and Kristen and Gigi to Mitchell, A.J., Derrick and Maya; cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews; beloved cousin and sister-in-law and friend to many. Freida was a member of the Bayless Baptist Church and long time member of The Order of the Eastern Star. We will carry you in our hearts forever.

Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois on Thursday, November 19, from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  3. I am so sad she is gone she was such a wonderful lady. She told me stories of times gone and made me laugh. Went to the country with her and my Dad just about every road down there they new someone that had passed. It made me sad for them but felt lucky to be with Frieda and my Dad. Prayers to all of you I no she will be missed. When we come into this world there is a day we have to leave. ❤️❤️❤️
