Bates, Kenneth R. Friday December 11, 2020.  Loving son of the late Nancy Ponder.  Dearest brother of Kimberly (the late Jeffrey) Kowalski and the late Carl (survived by Joann) Ponder, Rita Ponder, and Tamara Hoggard. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friends at Next Step for Life.

Service and interment are private.  Kenneth was  a former member of the Rockport Baptist Church.  KUTIS CITY SERVICE.

  5. Oh sweet Kenny…you were like my cool uncle I never had. That I needed in life at that time. I will never forget your laugh and smile dear friend. I plan to have a mini memorial service of my own singing songs you loved and placing a rose in the lake next to my house since your burial is private and rightfully so. This is not goodbye, but see you again one day. Rest in peace, friend.

  7. The hallways seem rather bare without hearing Kenny coming down the hall saying “good mornin” to everyone. Kenny always knew how to make us all smile. Kenny was a treasure. He will be missed very much.
