In Loving Memory

Aromando, Joseph Sr.

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, October 30, 2016.    Dear husband of Reta Aromando (nee Denton); dear father of Diane (Joe Siscel) Aromando, Joseph (Laura) Aromando Jr., and Karen (Gary) Aromando-Williams; dear grandfather of Lindsay (Michael) Poepsel and Joseph Aromando III; dear great-grandfather of Brooke and Dean Poepsel.

Born in Sant’ Arsenio, Italy, Joe immigrated to St. Louis in 1947. That same year he met Reta, they fell in love and were married in 1950. The couple went on to have three beautiful children.  Joe was a federal employee at the Defense Mapping Agency for 28 years before his retirement in 1983.

Joe truly enjoyed his retirement and spent his days filled with family, golf, fishing and gardening. He was blessed with many years of fishing trips, afternoons spent on the golf course, traveling with family and visits back to see his extended family in his hometown of Sant’ Arsenio, Italy. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life.

Joe/ Peppino/ Pop/ Grandpa/ Paw-paw as he was so lovingly known, will be missed immensely and remembered always.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church, Saturday November 5, 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude, appreciated.  Memorial visitation will be at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, on Thursday, 4-7 p.m.
