In Loving Memory

Armour, James Edward

Wed., August 22, 2018.  Beloved son of the late Clifford and Audrey Armour; loving brother of Patricia (Jack) Kaliher of Venice, FL., Mike (Sue) Armour of Fairview Heights, IL., John (Jan) Armour and Cathy (Jack) Reeves of Alhambra, IL.; dear uncle of Madison Reeves of Alhambra, IL., and Christina Doherty of Irvine, CA.; dear great uncle of Harrison Doherty; dear nephew of Sr. Charlotte Delaney, SSND; dear cousin and friend to many.

Jim completed elementary school at St. Albert the Great School in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He graduated from Assumption High School in East St. Louis, Illinois in 1969.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois where he was a James Scholar.

Jim worked as a sales manager for Pipe and Valve Supply Company, as a para-mutual clerk at both Fairview Park and Cahokia Down race tracks, and most recently doing real estate appraisals. Jim enjoyed cooking and was always willing to try new recipes.  He was an avid follower of Cardinal baseball, and routed for his alma mater, the University of Illinois.

 

A brief memorial will be held at Peace Chapel, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois at 2:00 PM on Tuesday October 9, 2018. Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to Cardinals Care.
