Akridge, Ruth Norma

Akridge, Ruth Norma, 85 of Imperial, passed away on December 5, 2021 at Mercy Jefferson in Crystal City, MO. She was born in Arnold, MO on October 1, 1936 to the late Lester Elmer Schopp, Sr. and Irma Louise (Mueller) Schopp.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Lee Akridge, her parents, one daughter, Patricia A. Darian and two grandsons, Kevin M. Rowden and Dennis W. Darian and eight brothers and sisters. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Janet (Michael) Rowden of Hillsboro, a son, Bill (Cara) Akridge of Festus and a son-in-law Mackie Douglas; five grandchildren, Kristi (Andy) Garrison, Keith (Stephanie) Rowden, Doug (Amy) Darian, Christopher (Lisa) Akridge, Bill (Sarah) Akridge and Randi (Scott) Scharf, several great-grandchild and several great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother and mother-in-law and will be deeply missed by her family.

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Wednesday, December 8, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with funeral services on Thursday at Kutis South County Chapel at 10:30 am. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
