  3. Hello. I am Virginia’s grandson, Mark Schiff, and wanted to take this opportunity to thank everybody in the High Ridge community that supported my grandmother over the last decade. I appreciate all the kindnesses that so many people from her church and friends provided including visiting her in the nursing home and remembering her birthdays, etc. And I can’t forget all of the visits my aunt Marie and uncles Henry and Joe took to see her almost every week since she moved to the nursing home. Bye Grandma, I love you and will always remember you.

  7. So sorry for the loss of your mother. It’s St. Martin’s loss too, from all that she did there. I will miss visiting her as one of the Care Pastors. She was always so happy to see us, wanting to share stories and stay for lunch. She definitely was a people person and was much loved.

  9. Virginia was one of my favorites at the nursing home. I’ll never forget the first time I met her. She always made me laugh and I loved it when I brought my baby boy up to meet her for the first time. There she was 100 years old and this newborn baby boy in her arms. Such a moment I will treasure forever. What a wonderful women she was. She will be forever missed and I know the nursing home will never be the sand without her. May God comfort her family during this difficult time.
