Adams-Nancy

In Loving Memory

Adams, Nancy W.

Nancy Whitworth Adams passed away on September 25, 2022  in her home town of St Louis, Missouri at the age of 79 surrounded by her family. Nancy was a caring wife and proud mother. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Robert (Bob), their only daughter, Kim and her son-in-law, Scott Hunt.

Nancy was born on February 5, 1943 to Forrest & Alvenia Whitworth. She studied education at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. Nancy met Bob in an airport in Springfield in 1961 and were introduced by Bob’s sister Shirley. They were married on August 29, 1964.

Nancy graduated from Southwest Missouri State in 1965 and taught 1st grade in the Maplewood / Richmond Heights school district until 1970, when her focus changed to starting a family. Nancy enjoyed reading, counted cross stitch and ceramics when she wasn’t driving her daughter to dance class. Traveling cross country with family, in their travel trailer, were some of her favorite times. She cherished these trips as long as she had the comforts of home. Nancy was not only a devoted dance, cheer and poms mom, she was a beloved fur mom to Buttons who brought her great comfort late in life.
