James W. Adams May 11, 1976 – November 4, 2020. (44 years old) First son to the late James E. Adams and Anne E. Adams (nee Karase); esteemed brother to Jennifer A. Pease (nee Adams), Nicholas J. Adams, Rebecca D. Nix (nee Adams) and Heather L Adams; Adored uncle to Ryan A. Pease, Cade N. Adams, Elena M. Adams, Henry J. Nix, and William J. Nix; Proud brother in law to David L. Pease and Will Nix, and Holly M. Adams; cherished Step Son of Robert “Bob” Pessina; Closest and most cherished friend to Casey O’Mara; engaged to Jim’s sister, Heather Adams.
Jim was a genius and the personal tech guidance to our entire family. He supported all those he ever encountered. Jim could fix it all and a witty comment was followed. Jim was an avid science fiction fan. Let us pray that he passed into his perfect world of eternal fantasy.

Having known Jim for years, I know I am one of the many who were deeply grieved by his sudden loss. Jimmy was one of those people who always had a quiet and unassuming presence, but when he spoke with you, made you feel special by giving all of his thoughtful attention to you and what you were discussing. He was smart and witty, a joy to be around, and his friends always knew he will be there for them no matter what. I will miss our long book discussions and arguments over best cyberpunk authors and rock-and-roll bands… You will forever be in my heart! I know that wherever you are now, you are just as cherished as you were here! May your memory be a blessing and may healing and peace be with your family and loved ones!

Very sorry to hear this. Jim was a high school friend of mine, but even more than that, a BBSer friend of mine. I have many great memories of hanging out with him at various events, but the events at Happy Joes with Jim & S.G. standout in memory. We both had shared interests in technology and science fiction (He was Tasslehoff Burrfoot, I was Raistlin Majere from Dragonlance). I really feel honored and thankful to have shared that special time of life with him, and consider him a good friend. He will be missed. :'(

Thank you all so much for your kind words. We are all still trying to get over the shock of losing Jim so soon. We know that he would want each of us to carry on in his absence and to try to see the world through a more compassionate lens as he did. Eventually, we will be able to accept this tragic loss and remember him for his willingness to help those in need and not ask for much, if anything, in return and his quick wit and intelligence. I feel horrible for not having the time to appreciate all of his strengths and flaws that made him who he was. Until we meet again Jum! Love, your baby sister.
