of St. Louis, Missouri went to Our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday December 3, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Frederick and Verna Nary. Beloved husband for 58 years of Alverna (nee Maschek); loving father to Tim (Gwen) Nary and Chris (Gary) Nelson; cherished Papa to Meghan, Kennedy, Paddy-Shea and Korey Nary; Joey, Sam and Jonny Nelson; adored brother of Sharon (Robert) Waldmann and Sue (James) Boyle; dearest brother-in-law to Sister Suzanne Maschek and Mary (Gene) Huff. Treasured cousin, uncle, great uncle, and prized friend to many especially his fishing, hunting and golfing buddies.
An Eagle Scout and dedicated soccer coach, Don attended St. Louis University graduating with a master’s degree in electrical engineering and spent a career of 45 years at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. Don attended numerous White House Jesuit Retreats, was a member of Ignatian Volunteer Corps and a volunteer at Our Lady’s Inn for homeless pregnant women.
Don gave “the ultimate gift”, the gift of oneself. Donating his body to the St. Louis University Health Sciences Center so others might learn.

Funeral Mass Tuesday December 21 9:30 am with visitation 9 – 9:30 at Assumption Catholic Church 4725 Mattis Rd. St. Louis, MO 63128. In lieu of flowers, donations to Medical Mission Sisters 8400 Pine Rd. Philadelphia, PA 19111 and Our Lady’s Inn 8790 Manchester Rd. #202 St. Louis, MO 64144.
