It is with deepest sorrow we announce the death of Tim Hughes, age 46 on Sunday September 29th at 2:09 am. Tim passed peacefully after a sudden turn for the worse while in the hospital under treatment.

Tim enjoyed people, was known by many and friend to all. His kind, soft spoken nature was backed by a heart of gold; someone to rely on during the challenges in life. Dependable, he was always up for lending you a hand or to become your best friend. So, in our grief lets always remember his sense of humor, his smile and that we can only aspire to his example of kindness. That’s his gift to us.

A gifted Artist, Musician and skilled designer, Tim appreciated the world of Art and Architecture. He enjoyed traveling, from world travel to Japan, China  and Germany for work or sightseeing. Always ready for a road trip, mainly seeking out his favorite rock bands. He had an extensive list of concerts he had seen.

Tim was born in February 1973 in Alton, Illinois to Richard and Sheryl (Johnson) Hughes.  He will be missed by mothers Sheryl Hughes and Doris Hughes; brothers and sisters-in-law Walter and Lee Hughes of Troy, Missouri, and Dennis and Susie Purkis of St. Louis; sister Denise (Purkis) Gudmundsson of Newburg, Oregon; nieces and nephews Sylvie and Cora Purkis, and Anna, Alex, Adam and Andrew Gudmundsson; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and Black Betty.  He was preceded in death by his father.
