Newton

In Loving Memory

Newton, Dan

Dan Newton, 70, entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2019.  He was born on September 11, 1949 in Normandy, Missouri to Samuel (Ted) and Mary Virginia (Ginny) Newton whom preceded him in death.  He is survived by his wife of five years, Terri Fischer nee Kleffner; his sisters Sue (Tom) Barbero and Terri (John) Romano; his daughters Jill (Shane) Hegarty and Katie Newton; the mother of his children Judy Waters nee Schuler; bonus children Garret Fischer and Whitney (Jonny) Sones; and grandchildren Chase AuBuchon, Reagan & Garrett Hegarty and Eli, Elena, & Everett Sones.  He was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Dan was a United States Marine Corp Veteran.  He was a graduate of Tarkio College and Fontbonne University where he earned his Masters degree.  Dan was an avid St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals fan and was thrilled to see the Blues win their first Stanley Cup! He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family!

He will be remembered fondly for his hard work, his kind heart, his selflessness and for his willingness to do anything for anyone.

Services: Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 19th at White Flag Christian Church, 7531 Telegraph Road, 63129.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will immediately follow the visitation. In memory of Dan, please wear your St. Louis Blues or Harley-Davidson gear.  He would truly want it no other way! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan’s memory to The American Heart Association or White Flag Christian Church.
