In Loving Memory

Smith, Jeffrey “Scott”

Jeffrey “Scott” Smith, 58, passed away on June 6, 2019 in St. Peters, MO.

Scott was born in Talladega, AL on November 14, 1960 to Betty (Mintz) and William Smith. He graduated from Munford High School in 1979, where he played football for the Lions and made many lifelong friends.

After high school, Scott moved to St. Louis, MO which remained his home until his passing. He started a family and established a successful career in the technology field.

He was kind, generous, and the funniest person in the room. Most of all, he was devoted to his family and considered being a father the most important job in the world. He was an incredible dad and a true hero in the eyes of his children. Scott also loved his Lab mix Athena, cats Sammy and Saban, and “grand-dogs” Indy and Bear.

Scott enjoyed cruising on his Harley, watching his beloved Crimson Tide every football season, cooking delicious food for anyone who came to his home, and spoiling his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his life companion, Deborah Tauscheck of St. Peters; mother of his children, Rene’ LaFerla; son Michael (Whitney) Smith; daughter Angela Smith; father William (Colette) Smith; grandchildren Raiden, Landry, and Bristol Smith; brothers Mike (Shirley) Smith and Brian Smith; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri or Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital.

Memorial visitation to be held at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, on Wednesday, June 12 from 11am until Memorial Service at 1pm.
