Mrs. Blendena Sims was born December 1, 1951 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the union of Faith Putney and James Mc New. She was the middle child of three children: two sisters living in Saint Louis, Missouri. She attended the Saint Louis Public School system that help her to transition into the workforce within the heart of Saint Louis Hills for over thirty years at the Owens-Brockway Company. When she wasn’t active at work, she was active within the house of the Lord. For years she was a part of the House of Deliverance and the Prince of Peace Pentecostal Church congregation.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Johnny Brown, Jr., who they bore two sons within that union that they cherish and raise within the city of Saint Louis, Missouri. Even though they parted ways after the children were grown, they became best friends over the years. That was a grand quality about Mrs. Blendena that she had a caring and loving heart who always offered a helping hand to anyone who was in need within her community. In her past time, she loved to design and create jewelry that she sold allover the city of Saint Louis and in East Illinois to various loyal customers. She was a true definition of a loyal friend to her family, church members, and her neighbors. Therefore, she will she be greatly miss by her family and friends.
