Aug 6, 1921 – June 14, 2018

Peacefully, on Thurs, June 14, Olive A. Linton (nee Chadeayne) reunited in heaven with her husband Clarence O Linton, Sr., her sister Reina Heroux (nee Chadeayne), her grandsons Petey and Chris, and many other  relatives and friends. Olive was 96 yrs old, mother of Clarence O. Linton, Jr, Laurel Meyer (nee  Linton) and Bertie M Linton; grandmother of the late Petey, Sean,  Barbie, Charlie, the late Christopher, Eric, Andrea and Margaret; great-grandmother to Cash, Sean Michael, and Aubrey.

Olive, a stay-at-home mom, was a leader in Girl and Boy Scouts, taught Sunday School for 23 yrs., held many offices in PTA, including president, was regularly published, in the “Letter to the Editor” section of the St. Louis Post Dispatch and Globe Democrat newspapers. She made sure her children had a well rounded upbringing, including tap and ballet dance recitals on the Admiral Riverboat, singing, art, baseball, other sports,  piano, trumpet, guitar, many trips to the Muny Opera, to name a few. At 40 yrs old, she went back to college, receiving a BA in Education. She earned her way into “Who’s Who Among  Students in American Colleges and Universities, 1969-1970” She taught children of all ages. She also taught English as a second language and worked on the McDonnell Douglas Foundation Homework Hotline for many years. Olive was a huge St Louis Cardinals fan and an exemplary individual, mother, friend, teacher, and leader.
